Reagents and materials needed to grow cells

a. Basic reagents for cell culture

(1)Culture medium: It is generally made with incomplete medium +10% FBS (fetal bovine serum), and sometimes double antibodies are added to prevent cell infection. The specific type of culture medium is selected according to the type of cells maintained.

(2)Trypsin: it is short for trypsin, and used to digest cells. Generally, the digestion time is 1-2 min: for when the time is too short, the cell digestion is incomplete, and the time is too long, the cells will be excessively damaged by digestion.

(3)Common reagents: alcohol, PBS buffer.

b. Basic materials for cell culture

(1)Cell culture container: culture flask 25, 50, 250ml, etc., petri dish: 10cm, 6cm, etc. And corresponding volumes of culture flasks or petri dishes are selected according to specific situations.

(2)Materials: sucker, pipette, various pipettes and tips, centrifuge tubes, sealing membrane, etc.

c. Cell cryogenic reagents and materials

(1)cryogenic liquid:It is generally composed of 10% DMSO+FBS+ medium. The ratio of FBS to medium depends on the cell types. 90% FBS is used for more valuable cells, and 50% FBS+40% medium is used for general cells.

(2)Trypsin and other general reagents used in cell culture.

(3)Cryogenic storage tubes, centrifuge tubes, centrifuge machine, sucker, pipettes, microscope, cryogenic case, refrigerator, liquid nitrogen tank, etc.

As one of experienced laboratory consumables manufacturers in China, MDHC currently provides sizes of 35ml, 60ml, 100ml and 150ml petri dishes, 4-well,6-well,12-well,24-well,48-well,96-well,384-well cell culture plates for different types of cell culture needs.
